Where i’ve been

What’s happening DOERs! I know we haven’t spoken since May, but I promise it’s for good reason. Since I started the newsletter back in 2019, I haven’t missed a single month. While I’ve gotten better as a writer, I’ve often felt that I don’t always have a lot to offer you all. While this newsletter is intended to give insight on what I’ve learned and experienced, sometimes it takes a minute put those things into words. With that said I took the month of June to just live a little. Hopefully this newsletter encourages you to do the same.

Get Gone!

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and I’m glad that I got to spend a good portion of June doing so. It’s something about being somewhere new that makes me appreciate life a little bit more. Aruba was everything the homies said it would be (shout out dev and trio), and honestly it wasn’t that expensive. Theres not many things better than having dinner with loved ones while the sunsets and the breeze is just right. After coming back to states, I went to St Louis for my cousins wedding and seeing black love is pretty dope. Hopefully I can squeeze another trip in before the summer ends because as much I love home there’s a few places I’d rather be… even if just for a little bit.

Still Grinding?

Normally in the summer I pick up another job to pass the time while waiting on school to start. However, this year I’ve decided not to. This doesn’t mean I’m not working at all, but instead of investing my time into someone else’s business… I’ve invested into my own. Rather its finishing my album, planning an event, creating a clear direction for doer, or whatever else I have my hands in at the time. I’m still working, it’s just for myself now. While this may sound fun, it’s been difficult to balance the desire for self-progress and the “want” for money. We all know that entrepreneurship is no easy feat and while I may have the time to invest in me, I don’t always have the resources to do the same. However, I know Rome wasn’t built in a day, and what I desire for myself won’t be built in a summer.

Thats all folks

In all, I hope you're enjoying the warmth and leisure of summer. I have some announcements coming soon that I’m very excited to share here with the DOERS first.

As always thank you for reading and I hope you have a good day.

GO BE GREAT
